We cordially invite you to attend the 21st annual Actuarial Career Day. This event will take place on Sunday, January 10, 2010, at Columbia University’s, Alfred Lerner Hall, 2920 Broadway, New York, NY 10027.

College freshmen through graduate students are welcome as well as professionals interested in the actuarial field as a future career. We encourage mathematics, economics, computer, finance, and business students, as well as their professors and career counselors to attend.

Our program is designed to provide first-hand industry information so that an actuarial career may be intelligently compared with careers in other fields. We will cover all facets of the profession, including permanent and internship employment opportunities. Major insurance organizations and consulting firms will be represented. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with practicing actuaries, obtain literature and submit resumes. There will be ample time for informal discussion and individual questions. Complimentary refreshments/lunch will be served.

There is NO registration fee; the fair is FREE to all attendees. However, (pre) registration is required. Registration will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. Attached is an outline of the Actuarial Career Day program and a registration form. Attendees should return the pre-registration form along with their resumes either electronically (preferably) to actuarycareerday@aol.com or via fax to 516-931-7842.
