The actuarial profession thrives on diverse perspectives and experiences. Several organizations are dedicated to supporting historically underrepresented groups in the field by offering scholarships, mentorship, and other professional development opportunities for actuarial students.

Below are some of the largest diversity-focused organizations that offer membership and other valuable support to actuarial students. The Actuarial Foundation, Casualty Actuarial Society, and Society of Actuaries proudly promote these organizations and their initiatives.

International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA)

Mission: IABA is a professional and student member organization whose mission is to increase the number of successful Black actuaries through programs and partnerships that address their underrepresentation in the profession. Their vision is equitable exposure, access, development, and advancement for Black professionals in the field.
