This program will help you decide if an actuarial career is a way to use your mathematical ability.

Summer Scholars: Actuarial Science
The actuarial science summer camp is a week-long intensive program for rising high school seniors designed to help them decide if they are interested in actuarial work. Lebanon Valley College has had a successful actuarial science program for more than 40 years, and have run this summer camp for more than two decades.

Morgan State University

Summer Academy of Mathematics and Science Program
The Summer Academy of Actuarial and Mathematical Sciences (SAAMS) Program is a rigorous academic enrichment program designed to foster excitement among high school students in Mathematics and Actuarial Science. This pipeline program is within the Department of Mathematics. The goal of the SAAMS program is to help increase the number of students who will enter the field of mathematics and actuarial science. Students attend a Mathematics course, an Introduction to Actuarial Science course, and actuarial-related professional development sessions. Applicants are selected through a competitive application and interview process, and applicants who are accepted into the SAAMS Program are rewarded a stipend.

Bryant University

Precollege Actuarial Science and Statistics Program
In this program, students will learn probability, statistics, financial mathematics, and statistical software such as Excel, VBA, and R. We will also have faculty members, current Bryant students, industry practitioners, and actuaries, come to talk to the students about what real-world work entails. Students will have the opportunity to work closely with Bryant University faculty during an immersive, five-day, in-person experience. By the end of the program, students will have a basic understanding of the actuarial profession and statistics and will develop their analytical skills. All students who complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Bryant University Economics Department.
